Sconser, Isle of Skye, is a hamlet on the Island of Skye in the Inner Hebrides. In this pleasantly placed little village at the mouth of Loch Sligachan (7 miles South South East of Portree) stands Sconser Lodge. This contains portions of that rarity in the Hebrides, a genuine l8th-century inn. Johnson and Boswell stayed here. Above Sconser stands the pyramidal mountain of Glammaig (2,537 ft). In front of the Lodge is a fine prospect of the Island of Raasay.
