As our name suggests we're right next to the Hadrian's Wall Walk. 8 miles from Newcastle and 5 miles from Newcastle Airport. You will be spoilt during your stay: three hundred count cotton bed linen; fluffy white dressing gowns and slippers; fresh flowers. Close House Country Club is nearby.

Consett, County Durham. The steaming chimneys, furnaces and roofs of the giant Consett Iron Co. fill the horizon on the high ground between the Derwent and Wear rivers. The company dates from 1840, but iron was being produced as far back as Roman times at Ebchester, 3 miles away. The first Salvation Army band in the world was organized here in 1879.
