Abergorlech, Carmarthenshire, is a quiet village 8 miles North of Llandeilo on the Cothi river. This is remote pastoral country, with the Forestry Commission well established in the area. The Cothi has a reputation as a fishing stream. The church has been restored; it was remarkable for the splendour of its polished oil-lamps. The old three-arched bridge across the Cothi is a delight to the eye. For the rest, Abergorlech is unknown to the great world, and perhaps all the happier for it.
