Visit Leyburn and the surrounding villages and stay in bed & breakfast accommodation:
Leyburn, North Yorkshire. The Shawl is a broad mile-long terrace shaded with evergreens, oaks and sycamores which allows entrancing views over Wensleydale. Among other landmarks will be two castles, Bolton and Middleham. Tradition says that this was where Mary Queen of Scots was recaptured after an escape from Bolton Castle which lasted a brief two hours.
