Visit Upton-upon-Severn and the surrounding villages and stay in bed & breakfast accommodation:

Upton-upon-Severn, Worcestershire, is a pleasing country town on the banks of the Severn 10 miles from Worcester and 7 miles from Great Malvern. It is full of delightful houses from early Tudor to early Victorian. Two superb Georgian houses are Waterside House and the Malt House near the river. In the High Street is a very early l7th-century timber-framed hostelry, the Anchor Inn. This street also has the famous three-storied stuccoed White Lion with its huge pilasters and porch surmounted by a lion. This was a setting used by Henry Fielding in his novel Tom Jones. All that remains of the old church is its red sandstone tower. The new church was built in 1879 by Blomfield. It does, however, possess a l4th-century effigy of a cross-legged knight grasping his sword, presumably saved from the earlier church. The graceful modern single-span bridge crossing the river was completed in 1940. Upton is ideal as a centre for some of the best river cruising in the county. It is possible to sail from here right into the centre of Evesham.
