Pulborough, Sussex. Here stands Parham Park, an Elizabethan mansion which, after various later alterations, has been carefully restored to give it much of its original form. From the beginning of the 17th century to the early 1920s it was in the ownership of the Bysshops, and a number of portraits of this family are among the collection of paintings on show. Features of the house are the great hall, with unusually tall mullioned windows and a fine plastered ceiling, and the long gallery, 158 ft long and 18 ft wide.
In the grounds stands the Church of St Peter, a basically Perpendicular structure, restored and redecorated in the Gothic style in the 19th century. The lead font is 14th-century.
