Ardentinny, Argyll and Bute. This small residential village that caters for visitors is characteristic of the West Highland scenery that lies close to Glasgow and to the industrial West — scenery that, owing to the fretted coastline and long arms of the sea, is still largely inviolate. It is at the end of a road from Dunoon, and on the shores of Loch Long. Though the road from Dunoon stops at Ardentinny, there is a rough narrow track leading up Glen Finart to Loch Eck. From Ardentinny itself opens a fine view of Loch Long and the Roseneath Peninsula. This attractive little holiday resort now lies within the Argyll National Forest Park.
