The White Rose

Caroline and Kevin would love to welcome you to their six bedroomed Lakeland guest house.
The White Rose in Windermere was built almost two hundred years ago - in 1817- from the locally mined slate. In a perfect location to tour the Lake District, the house is only a few minutes' walk from the bus and railway station and a 5 minute drive from Lake Windermere.

The White Rose has six en-suite bedrooms - two superior bedrooms (including a bedroom which can be used as a twin bedroom or, with the beds zipped and linked, a superking double bedroom) and four standard en-suite bedrooms.

Each bedroom has a TV with DVD player, tea and coffee making facilities, a hairdryer and an alarm clock radio. Bedrooms 1,2 and 3 are on the first floor of the house,
Bedrooms 4 and 5 are on the second floor of the house and Bedroom 6 is completely separate from the other guest bedrooms as it is on the ground floor of the house. Guests access this bedroom through a small courtyard area at the rear of the house.
PLEASE NOTE: Guestsstaying in Bedroom 6 walk outside and around to the front entrance of the house in order to access the breakfast room.

We have some excellent local walks and you can borrow any of the maps and guides whilst staying.

We are also able to offer our guests free internet access - you just need to bring your own laptop!!

We can also book local half day and full day minibus tours of the Lake District.
The tour buses will pick you up from the White Rose - a great way to see what the beautiful Lake District has to offer!

Windermere village has an excellent selection of restaurants, cafes and pubs serving a variety of cuisines - and an excellent selection of shops, including the famous flagship store "Lakeland Limited"

Single occupancy of a standard en-suite double bedroom is between £45.00 and £55.00 per night
Price for bed and breakfast when two people share the superior double bedroom or the large double bedroom is between £35.00 and £37.00 per person per night.
Price for bed and breakfast when two people share the twin bedroom is between £36.00 and £38.00 per person per night.
