The Barn is set beside a 19C flint and brick cottage in a tiny hamlet at the end of a no through road. There’s no road noise, just the occasional horse and rider clopping past and the whistle of the red kite soaring overhead. Walks from the door will take you through beechwoods, across fields and valleys to villages and cosy pubs.
It is no wonder that the beauties of the countryside, villages, gardens and stately homes of the Chiltern Hills are regularly seen on film and TV. Locations for Midsomer Murders are all around, especially close are those for viewing in 2010.
