Higher Beeson House

A warm welcome awaits you when you arrive at Higher Beeson. You are invited to enjoy the spectacular sub-tropical, tranquil gardens in the rolling countryside, with glimpses of the sea, which is just under a mile away. Take a walk around the extensive landscaped grounds where there is an abundance of wildlife, flora and fauna. Relax on the deck of the summerhouse to watch the busy lives of the resident ducks and wildlife on the pond.

The beach at Beesands with its nature reserve is just a 15-minute walk from here, where you   can join the renowned South Devon Coastal Path and its stunning panoramic views. There are National Trust walks within half a mile. Kingsbridge, Salcombe & Dartmouth are all within easy reach by car.

Three of our rooms are in a stone barn which was converted from its former life of the farm stables; all are spacious, superior, individually designed en-suite bedrooms.  All rooms have super-king-size beds; one room has a four-poster bed.  There is a choice of shower or spa bath in the double en-suites; the four-poster room has shower and spa bath. New in 2010 is our Garden Room, another conversion from a small detached stone barn overlooking the garden and pond.   This is a twin bedded room; with en-suite shower room. All rooms are centrally heated and have 32”TVs and DVD players, beverage trays, hairdryers and safes. Duvets and pillows are all hypoallergenic. There are shared guests’ fridge and ironing facilities.  Relax in the farmhouse dining room; a short walk across the courtyard, to enjoy a delicious, traditional Aga cooked breakfast using local produce.
