Acer Cottage

Acer Cottage is a small friendly B & B with 3 guests rooms located in the attractive old part of Bishops Stortford, which is a thriving old market town, with street markets twice a week, and a range of large shops and supermarkets to small individual owner shops. .There are also over 20 restaurants of all sorts within 5 - 10 minutes walk from Acer Cottage, and we can give a list of these to guests with a map and our personal comments.
We have a fairly large walled garden for a town centre house , and keep rescued chickens who produce eggs for guests breakfast. Guests are very welcome to sit in the garden.
Bishops Stortford is half way between London & Cambridge and was used as a stopping point by coaches in the past. Now it is only about 40 minutes by train from either. We are very convenient placed for people who wish to or have to use Stansted airport
